College of Veterinary Medicine

The MU College of Veterinary Medicine is Missouri's only institution that confers the Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. Thank you for exploring how you can partner with us to make a positive difference in the lives of animals and people.

The College of Veterinary Medicine celebrates its 75th Anniversary in 2021. Please consider making a gift of $75 for 75 years where every day we teach, heal, discover, and serve.

Footage that does not depict current safety practices was taken prior to COVID-19 health orders and guidelines.

Change a life! College of Veterinary Medicine students graduate with an average debt load of $157,500, which is $170,000 less than the national average. Your gift, large or small, toward scholarships will allow the recipients to devote more time and energy to their coursework and increase our ability to attract promising future veterinarians to Mizzou!

Veterinary Health Center

Gifts for the VHC provide us flexibility in changing times and allow the dean and hospital director to take advantage of opportunities that help us lead veterinary medicine education and provide the best care for our animal friends. Equipment updates, repairs and remodels, and program development are just a few examples of how this fund improves the experience of our animals, clients, students and staff at the VHC.

Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Lab

The Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Lab is integral to the MU College of Veterinary Medicine’s mission to teach the next generation of veterinarians. The VMDL upholds rigorous standards for service, education and research, but is hampered by outdated infrastructure. A new VMDL would help address our classroom space shortage, elevate veterinary education and training, offer more efficient service to crop and livestock producers and companion animal owners, improve biosecurity, and protect public health through expedited testing for illnesses like chronic wasting disease in deer and elk.
