MU Extension and Engagement & 4-H

University of Missouri Extension and Engagement brings Mizzou to Missourians. Every day, we connect university research, knowledge and resources with practical programming that empowers people to improve lives, communities and businesses.

Through a network of county offices in all 114 counties and the City of St. Louis, we partner across the state to solve Missouri's grand challenges around economic opportunity, educational access and health and well-being. 4-H, America's largest youth development organization, is part of MU Extension and welcomes all Missouri youth.

The way we work has changed over the decades but our commitment to fulfilling the land-grant mission is stronger than ever.

Excellence in Extension

The Extension in Excellence Fund helps us develop the programming, partnerships and resources that impact the grand challenges that Missourians face. The fund helps us fulfill our land-grant mission to bring Mizzou to Missourians as we address economic opportunity, educational access and excellence, and health and well-being for the benefit of our state.

Connecting youth to higher education is a fundamental role of the 4-H program. A gift in support of the Missouri 4-H Foundation Scholarship Fund is an investment in the future of Missouri 4-H members. For many youth, scholarships are critical to bridging the gap between the rising cost of tuition and what their families can afford to pay out of pocket. Osher@Mizzou is a lifelong-learning program that provides a variety of non-credit classes and educational, cultural and social opportunities for learners ages 50 and over, all for the joy of learning. Support for this fund ensures quality continuing adult learning for those in the “third stage of life.
