International Programs

Mizzou welcomes students, faculty, staff and researchers from all over the world. Students also gain new perspectives on academics and obtain skills for the global workforce through study abroad experiences. As a result of this global scope, Mizzou boasts thousands of international alumni spread across 135 countries on every continent except Antarctica.

Before the COVID-19 pandemic, in 2018 and 2019:
1,931 students came to Mizzou from 100 countries
1,384 students studied abroad in 48 countries
837 scholars came to Mizzou from 63 countries

Whether your gift supports study abroad initiatives or provides funding for international students and scholars, your generosity will strengthen Mizzou’s position as a global university.

Study Abroad Scholarships Fund

Mizzou has made it a campus priority to increase study abroad participation to 30% by 2023. This reflects the university’s commitment to producing graduates who can communicate across cultural and national boundaries in their personal and professional lives. Your gift will afford students transformational opportunities they otherwise would not have.

International Student and Scholar Services Fund

International students and scholars come to MU from more than 100 countries. They enrich our campus and community while they are here, and return home with a better understanding of American life and culture. Gifts to this area support international students in financial crisis or programs and activities that integrate international students and scholars into the life of our campus and our community.
