Mizzou Giving Day 2025

Thanks to a generous gift from Melodie Powell, BA ’77, JD ’81, and Jerry Short, all gifts to the Homecoming Endowment will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $10,000. Gifts of any amount to the endowment fund made online between now and noon CT on Thursday, March 13, will count toward this challenge, up to a total match donation of $10,000.

If at least 25 Tigers donate $25 or more to the Missouri Method Endowment during Mizzou Giving Day, Lynda Kraxberger, Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies, will unlock an additional $1,000 gift to the fund.

Thanks to the generosity of Dick Boehm, BS Ed ’60, MA ’62, $5,000 will be unlocked for the Richard G. Boehm Outstanding Geography Student Award after 10 donors make a gift of any amount to the fund during Mizzou Giving Day.

Thanks to a generous gift from Dan Malan, BS Ag ’75, all gifts to the CAFNR 150 Endowment will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $250. Gifts of any amount to the endowment fund made online between now and noon CT on Thursday, March 13, will count toward this challenge, up to a total match donation of $250.

Members of the Osher@Mizzou Advisory Council will be matching gifts to Osher@Mizzou dollar-for-dollar up to $3,200. Our thanks to these generous volunteers who advance the organization's mission, vision and values! Gifts of any amount to this fund made online between now and noon CT on Thursday, March 13, will count toward this challenge, up to a total match donation of $3,200.

You'll find Tigers all across the nation... but which Mizzou Alumni Association group has the loudest roar? Our MAA groups are having a friendly competition; the three groups with the highest number of individual donors will earn an additional $1,000 for their scholarship funds! Gifts of any amount made to a group's scholarship fund will count towards this challenge.

Mizzou Nursing family... are you ready to rise to the challenge? If at least 100 donations are made to funds in the Sinclair School of Nursing, Dean Lori Popejoy will host a 'Donuts with the Dean' celebration this spring for our faculty, staff and students to enjoy! Gifts of any amount online between now and noon CT on Thursday, March 13, will count toward this challenge.

Thanks to generous gifts from Richard J. Barohn, MD, Executive Vice Chancellor for Health Affairs and Dean of the School of Medicine, and Ric Ransom, CEO of MU Health Care, gifts made by MU Health Care or School of Medicine faculty and staff to any MUHC or SoM fund will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $20,000. Gifts made online between now and noon CT on Thursday, March 13, will count toward this challenge; make sure to indicate your faculty/staff status when completing your donation to qualify for the match.

Thanks to the generosity of the Jefferson Club Board of Trustees, $18,000 will be unlocked for the Rally Mizzou scholarship after 100 donors make a gift of any amount during Mizzou Giving Day. Online gifts made before noon CT on Thursday, March 13, to the Rally Mizzou Student Opportunity Fund will count toward this challenge.

Thanks to the generosity of Dr. Paul Chan and Lily Y. Chan, gifts to the Lily Y. & Paul C. Chan Scholarship in Chemical Engineering will be matched up to $3,000. Gifts of any amount to the scholarship made online between now and noon CT on Thursday, March 13, will count toward this challenge, up to a total match donation of $3,000.

Thanks to the generosity of Barbara Buenemann, BHS ’82, gifts to the Missouri Scholars Academy will be matched up to $500. Gifts of any amount to the fund made online between now and noon CT on Thursday, March 13, will count toward this challenge, up to a total match donation of $500.

Thanks to the generosity of Walt Potter, MA ’81, the first $25,000 in gifts to the Potter Fund for Innovation in Local Journalism will be matched 2:1 for Mizzou Giving Day. Gifts of any amount made online between now and noon CT on Thursday, March 13, will count towards this challenge, up to a total match donation of $50,000.

Thanks to a generous gift from Gary Smith, M Ed '65, $12,000 will be used to encourage giving to the National Endowment for the Humanities West Stacks Renovation Project to increase the number of donors to the project. Once 10 gifts are made, $1,000 will be unlocked. When the next 10 gifts are made, another $1,000 will be unlocked, etc. until $12,000 has been unlocked.

Thanks to the generosity of Sid, BA ’74, and Lori Popejoy, BSN ‘93, MSN ’96, PhD ’07, gifts to the Nursing Dean's Fund for Excellence will be matched up to $1,000. Gifts of any amount to this unrestricted fund made online between now and noon CT on Thursday, March 13, will count toward this challenge, up to a total match donation of $1,000.

Thanks to $3,000 in support from Gary, M Ed ’65, and Carol Smith and another $5,000 gift from Larry, BS ’07, and Christine Page, BA ’07, any gifts to the Chancellor's Fund for Excellence will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $8,000. Gifts of any amount made to the Chancellor's Fund for Excellence online between now and noon CT on Thursday, March 13 will count towards this challenge, up to a total match donation of $8,000.
